TWELVE PAINTINGS IN ELEVEN MONTHS

As anyone who follows my blog knows, I have painted more than twelve paintings this year.
However, these twelve are all for one show...my show at TUMALO ART CO that opens next Friday, November 4th. If you are in the area, please do come to the opening...4PM, November 4th. The show will be up for a month and I do hope you get to see it.

It is a tribute to light in the high desert. Six of the paintings are my view to the east. Often one can overlook the familiar and our view is actually spectacular and should be recognized. The painting with the brilliant sky...the red/orange one is not an exaggeration. That was how the sky looked one late afternoon prior to a tremendous storm.

The large cumulus arose before our eyes as we were driving around Abert Lake. The clear light of the desert and the drama never ceases to enchant me. I hope I have done itjustice.

Evidently there were 2000 entries and 10 winners. I am astonished and delighted.
If you want to see this painting before the March publication come to FIRST FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4 AT TUMALO ART CO IN THE MILL DISTRICT IN BEND OREGON.

I participate in a critique group with fellow artists...this painting that I thought was done was improved after some suggestions...so now it is ready for my blog.
